Renegade Craft Fair Recap

I had a blast at the Renegade Craft Fair last weekend in Grand Park in downtown LA. I met so many talented people including my booth-mates, Ryze Project. It was my first time at the fair and it was pretty cool getting a close up view of the City Hall building of Dragnet fame. (Am I the only one who loved the Tom Hanks/Dan Aykroyd 1980's movie version?)

Even though it was super hot, it was really nice to be outside all weekend enjoying the summer. Everyone who stopped by my booth had such a great sense of humor! A lot of people tried out my Peacock paper fans. I loved seeing friends and families laughing and fanning each other.

Thank the craft fair gods for putting Front Porch Pops near our tent. Their popsicles were the best way to cool down in the never-ending heat.

Our tent was right next to the playground, which was packed with little kids and families all weekend long. There were also rotating DJ's playing nearby. Some of the music was a little on the strange side, even for me. But at the end of the day on Saturday, a new DJ played T. Rex, The Talking Heads, Roxy Music, and the theme song from "Beverly Hills Cop." I think that DJ must be my soul mate.

My favorite part of the fair was when a super nice little girl and her family stopped by my booth to pick up a Peacock fan. She had made her own accordion-folded fan, which she gave to me. It was too sweet!! I think I'll keep it forever.

*BLOG POST UPDATE:

One of a Kind Toronto (OOAK Toronto) stopped by my booth and was kind enough to share a pic of my "Baby Chick" card with their followers! And those cute little baby shoes are by Clam Feet, a great locally based LA designer!
